These Terms & Conditions govern the use of tutoring services provided by Katherine West. By booking or attending a session, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with booking services.
1. About the Tutor
Katherine West is a qualified secondary school teacher offering private online mathematics tutoring to students aged 7–16 (Years 3–11). Services are delivered via online platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.
2. Booking & Payments

Lessons must be booked in advance via email or an agreed scheduling system.

Payment is required in advance and may be made via bank transfer or other agreed method.

You may choose from 45-, 60-, or 75-minute sessions, with weekly or bi-weekly frequency.

Package or block bookings may be offered at discounted rates and are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
3. Cancellations & Missed Sessions

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

If a student is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.

If Katherine West. is unable to attend a session due to illness or emergency, a rescheduled session will be offered at no extra cost.
4. Lesson Format & Content

All lessons are held online using a secure video conferencing platform.

Lessons are tailored to the individual student’s needs and may include pre-topic teaching, revision, exam preparation, or general skills development.

Parental involvement and communication are encouraged to support progress.
5. Student Conduct

Students are expected to behave respectfully and engage positively in lessons.

Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the session being ended early and reviewed.

Repeated issues may lead to termination of tutoring services.
6. Technology & Responsibility

It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that the student has a stable internet connection and access to the agreed platform.

Technical failures on the student’s end may not be refunded unless prior agreement is made.

Lessons may not be recorded without express written permission from both parties.
7. Safeguarding

Katherine West is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

A parent or responsible adult should be aware of when tutoring sessions are taking place.

Any safeguarding concerns will be handled in line with statutory guidance and may be referred to appropriate authorities.
8. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data is collected only as needed to provide tutoring services and is processed in line with the Privacy Policy.

Your information will never be sold or shared without consent, unless required by law.
9. Termination of Services

Either party may choose to end the tutoring arrangement with reasonable notice.

Prepaid sessions that are unused may be refunded at the tutor’s discretion, subject to any cancellation charges.
10. Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. Any changes will be communicated via email or published on the website with a revised date.
